Description
This course is a study of the basic concepts and techniques of single variable calculus (limits, differentiation, and integration) for students who are majoring in mathematics, computer science, engineering, or the physical sciences. Students who are in Social Sciences can often take this course or Math 111 for their programs or graduate school requirements.
This course is intended for students without any previous calculus course, but with good algebra and trigonometry skills (B or higher). Student who have had previous calculus experience (AP or other) that covers most of the first 5 chapters of the text are encouraged to consider Math 113 (Single Variable Calculus II).
